A single Mashable story typically gets shared 500 to 2,000 times across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+ and StumbleUpon.

Of the some 700-plus stories I’ve written at Mashable, more than 350 of them have been shared more than 2,000 times each on those social networks, with some going well above the normal share counts.
